I think I've taken a huge liking to drawing :D

٩(^‿^)۶
hello everybody!

Lately I've been getting back to my drawings...either that's improving or I'm imagining myself improving...either way I like it!
Even if it does take more than half a day to complete
...
I've always been slow at drawing from a young age!!

9 Months
James and I have been together for 9 months and to celebrate that I decided to get my inspiration from a popular cartoon series called Adventure Time !!

I drew this with similar style to the cartoon itself.
So proud hehe

^ w ^

I've shown snippets to James but he hasn't seen the finished piece :)
I've drawn two illustrations last month, one of hubby dressed up as the Easter Bunneh and one for my friend's birthday ^^
It was a very belated drawing inspired from two years ago having bubble tea in Chinatown in London. Julia and I chose star jellies for our "pearls" and I remember speaking about drawing us two being the star jellies and being chased around by the big straw!

xD

But yes :) I'm quite proud of my drawings and possibly improving but still finding my own style :D

Errmagaawd where have I been?!?!

Nowhere...literally nowhere xD

It's nothing to do with the death of one of my rabbits gawd no (though she is still hoping around in my dreams bless her) I've just been diddly darn lazy!
There I've admitted it!

I've been focusing on looking for jobs (no one wants me ;-;)
and my personal life my James
(Ɔ ˘⌣˘)♥(˘⌣˘ C)

We've been spending time together going out to places in London, casual days and days going to television studios to be part of the audience (mostly in the dark but worth going). We've been to The Jonathon Ross Show (Mcbusted was interviewed that evening), All Star Mr and Mrs and The Cube which Phillip Schofield hosted on both last ones.

We went to Kew Gardens using the Days Out Guide 2for1 on London attractions (with valid tickets, not Oyster cards). We got there a little later in the afternoon as we had Dim Sum in Chinatown earlier that day. First time for James and he enjoyed the food (except the cheung fun as it was too slippery for him being the first one I ordered...my bad ;P).

Dimsum at New World in Chinatown, London. I think it's the only place that still has the traditional trolley carts pushed around the restaurant floor. Worth a visit trust me.
Oh I've also had a haircut as well in case anyone is wondering
(bye bye ombre hair. Was worth the £7 something something haha)
Our highlghts from Kews Garden and dinner at Giraffe's Victoria branch. Twas a nice romantic day altogether :)

Onwards with our next day out was visiting the Harry Potter Studios in Leavesden as part of my early burfday treat ♥. Getting there was ok as we were fortunate to have a direct train from East Croydon to Watford Junction but it was around an hour on the train give or take.

Harry Potter inspired nail art I did just in time (for the first time perhaps..haha...)

Taking a selfie in front of Dumbledore's office
errrmagaawd Rupert Grint's!!!! Looking like a right donut here hahaha

So yeah that was a brief recap of what's been going on with my life although I am more active on Instagram so I've done more stuff than mentioned here (haha).

Mucho love,

In loving memory of Mochi

Discovered this morning that one of our rabbits Mochi has died. Nothing else was out of the ordinary but sadly Mochi was laying there inside the rabbit hutch not moving at all and in the position I dare to not remember from all the knowledge of how to identify the death of your pet.

The sad look she had on her face as my dad picked her up and placed her onto the garden soil. I know it's inhumane of me to take a picture of my dead pet but I wanted to capture my last memory of Mochi

When we first got Mochi she was only three months old.
We nicknamed her eyeliner due to the pattern around her eyes.

She looks so peaceful...

Bits and bob haul

٩(^‿^)۶
hello everybody!

My boyfriend told me that ToysRUs are now selling Minecraft stuff [eeeee imagine how excited I was!!] so as I looked on their website it was pretty much the same products that are sold in other stores so... heart breaking moment lolz.

All that was about to change as I decided to visit my boyfriend whilst he was at work. It was a surprise as he didn't check his phone beforehand so that was a good thing (oh I lurve him so much)

(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Pointed me to the Minecraft section (was walking round the store like a n00b searching high and low for green anything!!) and...saw the cute baby Pig, baby Mooshroom plushies and survival packs!!

( •́ﻩ•̀ )

Of course being me I erm...went for the cute stuff :D but before I went to see him I was in town picking up bits and bobs that would be useful to me atm (as well as mums shopping list)

Behold... the goodies!

oink

I bought this fabric glue from the 99p Store

This would save me time stitching on fabrics together when in a rush or too lazy to drag out sewing machine, hooking up the thread again etc etc :)

Simple instructions on using fabric glue

Nice and sealed up! Just use the lid to puncture a hole through the foil

Dynamode USB Soundcard from Currys/PC World

Ever since I bought the headset to talk and play games with my friends, sadly my Macbook didn't have a microphone jack available so this was perfect for the job.

It works!

Looking forward to trying to glue out but sadly the 99p Store tends to change around their lines of products each week if not each month so fingers cross it's a must-stay product

(wait...I've not tried it yet what am I saying)

Tesco haul + great deals

٩(^‿^)۶
hello everybody!

Just a small Tesco haul from a few days ago that I'd like to show you guys along with the savings/deals I've come across as well. Calculations of how much I've saved would be at the end of this post~

I love it when magazines are giving away Nails Inc bottles as their freebies. This time Nails Inc has collaborated with Kate Spade, a renown American designer, to release 4 shades for the readers of GLAMOUR. Sadly the Tesco branch I went to only had two shades available [Uptown Glamour (gold) and New York Noir (black)]. So it's worth getting for a full bottle (10ml) free with the magazine.

L-R: Kate Spade New York in New York Noir, Uptown Glamour, Soho Silver and Big Apple Red

Behold the gorgeous Katy Perry!

Here's my nail polish in the packaging

Almost forgot to mention but inside GLAMOUR there is the Joy Card from The Body Shop entitling you to £3, £15 or £100 off your purchases in stores until the 24th December 2013. Last year I ended up with £3 off my purchase for bought myself a Hemp lip balm which was my favourite but used up too soon...my bad. Wonder how much I have off this year (bound to be the lowest) but better than nothing!

Had to check that GLAMOUR magazine wasn't included in this bundle but my other favourite magazines are!

The packaging reminds me so much of a theatrical stage especially with the words around the border "co-starring..." with the retro themed products as well!

towel headband...headband...towel....stretchy headband...someone tell me the actual name for these things (much appreciated). Comfy, big enough for my head, stretchy enough and definitely keeps my hair back

Say You Scrub Me - basically body scrub ;). Haven't tried this out yet as I've recently bought a body scrub not long ago but it smells the same as the face scrub I've reviewed from the beginning of this year Along Came Betty face scrub review

So Much Bubble - bath bubble

It's A Skin Thing - body shimmer.

Crystals Are A Girls Best Friend - bath crystals.

The names they have for these products are so catchy and obvious to certain phrases we've all heard in the past.

Now for the calculations from the Tesco haul:

GLAMOUR - £2 [Nails Inc - free £11
3 Great Magazines - £5.99 [ELLE - £4.00
                              COMPANY - £2.50
                                    COSMOPOLITAN - £3.60]
Along Came Betty Shower Glam Packed Shower Treats - £3.50 [£7]
Sadly this offer from Tesco only lasts until 24th November 2013 saving you £3.50 [LINK]

So to recap in total I've only paid £11.49 for everything
whereas without the savings I would have paid £30.10 for individual products.
Saving me £18.61!
I'm glad I decided to check on the Tesco website on that shower treats set.

Phew ~ haul finally typed up before the offer has ended. Worth getting for yourself or a Christmas gift for someone.

NOTD ~ Cartoon Nails

[NOTD - nail of the day]

٩(^‿^)۶
hello everybody!

It's not easy deciding which nail art to try out but I've tried this cartoon effect on my sister so took it upon my self. There are some ways of doing this technique but I'll show one way of doing it.

Nails Inc in Lemon Ice Cream 307, Revlon in Sweet Tart 185, MUA in shade 5, shade 6, shade 9 and Rio Professional Nail Art Pens in Black and White

Paint one thin layer on each fingernail to avoid bubbles

Using the Rio fine brush in black carefully draw an outline of each nail

Switching to the Rio white nail brush draw on the side of the nail making a long exclamation mark (!)

Cartoon nail art done!

Hope you guys have fun trying out this interesting and easy tutorial.

Mucho love,
